Daily Variety is reporting that The Learning Channel, also known as TLC, has purchased the exclusive documentary rights to Sullenberger's story.

No dollar amount was given.

The Danville resident saved the lives of 155 passengers and crew when he landed his disabled jet on the Hudson River in January.

Pre-production on the documentary is underway, and should air later this year.
