Sheriff's office searching for bank robber

The robbery occurred on Wednesday at about 10:40 a.m. at Chase Bank, located at 10250 S. DeAnza Blvd. in Cupertino, according to the sheriff's office.

The man entered the bank and robbed a bank teller. He did not brandish a weapon during the robbery, and fled on foot from the bank after receiving an undisclosed amount of money from the teller, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspect is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic man who is between 30 and 40 years old, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs about 230 pounds, and had a brown moustache or "scruffy" facial hair.

Surveillance cameras at the bank captured photos of the suspect as he approached the teller and as he walked away. Anyone who recognizes the suspect is encouraged to contact sheriff's Sgt. Alfredo Alanis at (408) 808-4500.
