At about 1 a.m., a man who had been stabbed drove himself to the East Palo Alto Police Department seeking help. He gave police the suspect's identity and address.
Police responded to the 1100 block of Gaillardia Way. At about 5:45 a.m., the suspect, identified as Kilder Omar Garcia, was arrested at his home. He was booked into the San Mateo County Jail on attempted murder charges.
The victim's girlfriend was booked into the jail as well for allegedly aiding and abetting the suspect in the stabbing.
The victim, who is from East Palo Alto, is listed in serious condition at a local hospital.
