Neighbors on both sides of a home on Shaddick Drive say they heard explosions before flames burned through the single story building and told investigators the fire started after someone threw something into the home. One resident says she also heard noises from her bedroom.

"I heard what sounded like gunshots to me. I opened my door to the room, and flames were coming in from the living room and I just started screaming toward my brother and he just got out of his room and started helping me push my daughters out the window, the back window," said fire victim Vanessa Torres.

The residents of that house will have to find somewhere else to live. Most of the building and its contents were destroyed in the fire that took about a half hour for crews to put out.
