The fire was reported just before 4 a.m. off of Kirker Pass Road near Pittsburg, the dispatcher said. The fire was declared contained at around 5:30 a.m. and controlled shortly thereafter.

No injuries have been reported, and no structures in the area were damaged, the dispatcher said.

Various closures of north and southbound lanes on Kirker Pass Road were requested by responding fire crews throughout the morning, though the California Highway Patrol is reporting that at least one lane in both directions has opened to traffic.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the dispatcher said.
