New chief to penalize 'Cops Gone Wild'

San Francisco's new police chief is reportedly almost ready to move against the police officers involved in that infamous "Cops Gone Wild" video that rocked the department in 2005.

The Chronicle says George Gascon will recommend to the police commission that the worst offenders be fired. The chief says he will offer most officers "light penalties" to get them back on the streets.

20 officers altogether were initially suspended for creating joke videos that played on racial, sexual and homeless stereotypes.
