Airline food company cited for unsanitary conditions

DENVER

A recent inspection found ants and roaches, too many to count, in a kitchen in Denver, where the company prepares up to 3,500 meals a day for at least five major airlines.

There was also evidence of listeria contamination, a potential cause of serious food-borne illness.

A company spokeswoman called the findings unacceptable, but said nobody's gotten sick and that the kitchen has since been thoroughly cleaned.
