More Chihuahuas leave the Bay Area to find homes

OAKLAND, CA

Over 40 dogs boarded two private planes in Oakland bound for Denver.

The trip was part of Operation Chihuahua, a joint effort by San Francisco Animal Care and Control and the ASPCA to find homes for the dogs. Bay Area shelters are overloaded with the animals.

Wednesday, 15 /*Chihuahuas*/ took a charter flight to New York City where the dogs are in demand.
