Berkeley scientist does world's largest study on runners

BERKELEY, CA

That was the conclusion of a scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, who has just completed the world's largest study on runners.

The more miles you run, he says, the less likely you are to develop heart disease or have a stroke.

That applies to people who run up to fifty miles a week and maybe more, although there were not enough people in that category to study.
