Five-year-old Hasanni Campbell disappeared from Oakland's Rockridge area on August 10.
Volunteers received a tip on Tuesday that the boy's body may be near the northeast part of Mount Diablo. They believe the tip is good and wanted to start their search late last night -- but, it was too dark.
Neither the police nor Hasanni's family will be involved in today's search.
