A Livermore company is warning it now plans to cut hundreds of jobs next month as it prepares for the closure of the Nummi plant.

Johnson Controls builds seats and overhead consoles for the Nummi auto plant. It will cut about 240 jobs in late March even before the official April 1 shutdown of the Fremont plant. Another 80 people will leave Johnson Controls after Nummi shuts down.

At least 6,100 people in the Bay Area and nearby regions are losing jobs as a result of the plant closure.
