Suicide prevention program running low on funds

A program meant to prevent suicides at a Caltrain crossing in Palo Alto is running out of money.

The program puts security patrols at Palo Alto's Meadow Drive Caltrain crossing. That is the spot where several teenagers have stepped in front of trains in the past year.

Private donations are providing only half the money needed to keep the program running and that money is running out.

Officials are asking parents to donate more cash so the patrols can continue.
