Power restored to PG&E customers in Oakland

Power has been restored to an estimated 19,000 PG&E customers in Oakland who were affected by a morning outage, a company spokeswoman said.

The outage began at about 9 a.m. The majority of the outages were between 24th and 38th streets, between 10th and 24th avenues, from state Highway 13 west to Trestle Glen Road and on Leimert Boulevard between La Salle and Lincoln avenues, PG&E spokeswoman Tamar Sarkissian said.

Power was restored to all customers by 11:27 a.m., Sarkissian said.

The cause of the outage remains under investigation, Sarkissian said.
