CSU Stanislaus releases Palin documents

SACRAMENTO, CA

Initially, university officials said they did not have to turn over documents about the Palin event, saying it was arranged by a private foundation.

Last month, two students from the Turlock campus turned over to the attorney general's office two bags of documents, some shredded, found in a campus dumpster. They included portions of Palin's contract.

The university says it did nothing wrong, and that most of the documents it's now releasing, were generated after the controversy began.
