The San Francisco School is taking action to help clean up the Gulf oil spill.

Students, teachers and parents are donating their hair to be used to create oil collection booms.

Two fifth graders at the private day school came up with the idea for the collection drive.

They are partnering with the group Matter of Trust, which is organizing the nationwide effort.
