Oakland International Airport will test its emergency response to a simulated air carrier incident this morning, according to airport officials.

The exercise, held every three years to comply with federal aviation regulations, will involve multiple agencies from Alameda County including airport, fire, law enforcement and medical personnel, airport spokeswoman Rosemary Barnes said.

Volunteers will be made up as "victims" for the exercise, and rescue personnel will simulate a rescue on board a Boeing 757 aircraft.
