Now the Bay Area Toll Authority signed a $1 million contract amendment to cover the cost of any more structural failures.
That's according to the San Francisco Examiner.
The deal is with an engineering firm called T.Y. Lin International.
It already oversees seven other Bay Area bridges and will have design plans ready if another eyebar snaps.
