SJSU to now accept admissions for spring

Officials at San Jose State University are reversing course, and will accept admission applications for the spring semester of next year.

The process is set to begin on Sunday and last through August, but there is one big catch: students can enroll, but can't actually enroll in classes next spring, "unless" the state solves its budget stalemate and restores enough funding for the California State University system.

Earlier this month, San Jose State and several other CSU campuses had announced they would not accept spring applications for first-time freshmen, community college transfers and those seeking a second bachelor's degree.
