A woman in Hayward is offering a $5,000 reward for the safe return of her Yorkshire terrier, stolen from her car on Friday.

Kim Vuong left her 4-year-old dog named Monkoo in her car parked outside Macy's at Southland Mall. Someone broke into the car and took the dog. Vuong had her dog since she was just a puppy.

"I just really want her back and I don't care who took her and I'm willing to give all my savings, which is $5,000 and I'll give it to anybody who will have her safely returned to me, please. I don't care who took her, just please can you give her back?" said Vuong.

Hayward police asked Vuong to come to the station to give a statement.

She is hopeful security cameras will provide some clues.
