Ticket worth nearly $228,000 sold in Fremont

A MEGA Millions lottery ticket sold at a gas station in Fremont that is worth nearly $228,000 remains unclaimed, according to California Lottery officials.

The ticket, sold at the Shell gas station at 5515 Auto Mall Parkway, on Dec. 3 matched five of six numbers and is worth $227,578, according to lottery officials.

The winning numbers were 18, 56, 6, 12, and 11, with a Mega number of 12. The ticket only missed the Mega number.

People with winning tickets are reminded to sign their ticket, put it in a safe place, and contact lottery officials or visit your local lottery district office as soon as possible.

Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim their prizes.
