Student pays $14,000 in tuition in $1 bills

Many college students carry duffle bags around campus, but this might be the first one to hold 33 pounds of $1 bills.

That's how sophomore Nic Ramos of Sacramento paid his $14,000 spring tuition bill at the University of Colorado. It took two weeks for him to collect all those bills, and an hour for school cashiers to count them.

Ramos didn't do this as a prank. He says he did it to protest the higher fees paid by out-of-state students.
