The Giants World Series trophy tour is on its New York stop. Why New York? That's where the Giants got their start.

So did baseball Hall of Famer Willy Mays, who made the rounds with the trophy on Friday.

Mays and the trophy were at PS 46 in Manhattan, near the site of the polo grounds where the Giants first played.

On Saturday, Mays will be there with cleanup hitting catcher Buster Posey who will be honored as National League rookie of the year.
