San Jose police are using a special unit of plainclothes officers to crack down on drug dealers who use light rail to get around.

According to the Mercury News, police say the out-of-town drug dealers arrive on buses that drop them off near the light rail system. Then they use light rail trains to travel back and forth meeting their clients and cohorts.

The eight man squad of plain clothes officers will be looking to make drug-related arrests in hopes of discouraging the activity.
