Oakland firefighters start fund to help fire survivor

Oakland firefighters are helping a little girl who survived a house fire that claimed the life of her mother, 3-year-old sister and a family friend who saved her life.hild.

Oakland Firefighter Random Acts announced the establishment of a fund to assist the 7-year-old girl, known as "Allison B"

Investigators believe an overloaded extension cord used to run power from a neighboring unit caused the fire on December 30.

Allison's mother was from El Salvador and Allison is currently in foster care.
