Storm leaves 'winter wonderland' on mountain tops

MT. TAMALPAIS, Calif.

No one will ever mistake Marin County's Mount Tamalpais for the High Sierra, but the past three days have been a decent imitation. The snowfall left a winter wonderland behind. It's not all gone now. It's just almost gone.

Still, after three days, more snow remains on Tamalpais than the amount that might fall in several winters. At least three inches piled up last Friday and enough remains to lure people from the city far below.

In these parts, a little bit of snow is a lot.
