Gov. Jerry Brown proclaimed an end to our drought Wednesday afternoon, but urged Californians to keep conserving water.

The move follows significant increases in rainfall and in the snowpack. The Department of Water Resources has conducted its fourth snow survey of the season and found the snowpack is 165 percent of average. Most major reservoirs are also above normal.

Gov. Schwarzenegger first declared a statewide drought in June 2008.
