The Oakland school district says 230 elementary school teachers and 17 music teachers will be able to keep their jobs for next year. District officials made the announcement night at the school board meeting.
The district is still dealing with budget cuts. About 400 high school and middle school teachers and counselors are still waiting to hear their fate.
