Shelter-in-place ends after Pleasant Hill gas leak

PLEASANT HILL, Calif.

Around 11 p.m. a shelter-in-place order was lifted for the area around Oak Park Boulevard. There was a four-inch gas main break at Oak Park Boulevard between Stevenson Drive and Keats Circle. Witnesses said they could smell gas and can hear a loud hissing sound.

There were no evacuation orders and no customers were without electricity or gas service. The shelter in place was called because of the smell of gas in the air.
