A vintage World War II aircraft burst into flames after an emergency landing in a corn field Monday near Oswego, Illinois. Amazingly, all seven people on board escaped without injury before the fire spread.

Officials say the pilot of the B-17 reported a fire on board. He tried to return to the airport, but couldn't make it and decided instead to land in the cornfield.

The FAA will launch an investigation into the crash.
