New senior homes unveiled in SF

SAN FRANCISCO

The ribbing cutting ceremony for the "Coronet," a six story building on Geary Street, was held on Wednesday. The building houses 150 apartments for seniors aged 55 and older.

The building includes a health clinic and an Alzheimer's center operated by the Institute of Aging.

One of the innovative features of the Coronet is an alert button in each unit that notifies the health staff of an emergency.
