Animal control revisiting cases in dog deaths

Contra Costa County Animal Control says it's now looking at five-year-old cases for clues in a string of recent pet deaths.

At least seven dogs and cats have died in homes along Dunedin Drive in Brentwood. The deaths are suspicious since all the pet owners found food in their yards that they don't normally feed their pets.

Animal control is revisiting dog death cases from as far back as 2006. At the time, officials though the deaths were related to recalled dog food.
