Both criminal and civil office hours will be reduced by an hour a day open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Oct. 3rd.
It's all part of San Francisco's plan, announced last month, in which 25 civil courtrooms will close and 200 employees will be laid-off in response to cuts in the current state budget.
Only three courtrooms will be open for civil trials, which could cause delays of up to five years.
