The fire sparked around 1 p.m. Wednesday near the Camp Parks Reserve Training Area.
Smoke from the fire could be seen on Interstates 580 and 680. At least 50 acres have burned.
The Alameda County Fire Department, Cal Fire and Camp Parks Crews are all fighting the blaze.
