Elementary students still have access to junk food

ATLANTA

This comes after nutritional experts recommended limiting students' access to vending machines and un-healthy foods sold elsewhere at their schools.

Suburban students have more access to vending machines and food sold outside the school cafeteria than inner city students. Private schools feature more snack bars than public schools do.

The research appears in the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine.
