Massive house fire in Napa overnight

NAPA, Calif.

Fire crews responded at 9:34 p.m. to a fire at a two-story home in the 3100 block of Redwood Drive, just outside Napa city limits, Cal Fire-Napa County fire Capt. Jeremy Lawson said.

Crews from the city of Napa's fire department also responded.

Lawson said both fire agencies were involved since it was initially unclear in whose jurisdiction the house was located.

Arriving firefighters found the attic space on the second floor on fire, Lawson said. The fire eventually burned off the roof.

One resident exited safely and is now staying with friends, Lawson said. No injuries were reported.

The resident is an antiques collector, and crews were going through the house this morning salvaging personal belongings that survived the blaze, Lawson said.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
