The federal government is holding a competition to build a disaster-response robot that can survive nuclear blasts and other catastrophes. The robot would be used to help human recovery after disasters.
The feds are willing to pay up to $34 million to whoever can build a winning robot.
Applications are due at the end of May. Each successful entry will undergo testing in a simulated disaster environment.
