Universities charging more for certain majors

If you're entering college, you may want to choose your major very carefully. A growing number of public universities now charge a higher tuition for students majoring in math, science and business.

A survey by Cornell University finds 140 public universities now have the differential tuition. Many others are considering it, including UC Berkeley and UCLA.

The universities say it costs more to teach these highly technical fields. However, the good news is those students may pay higher tuition, but on average, they will earn more in their jobs.
