Motorcycle officers from around California were in Fremont Friday brushing up on their riding skills.

The Fremont Police Department is holding a motorcycle skills competition this weekend at Ohlone College. Friday was practice day.

The specially designed course is meant to emulate what officers have to face on the job, helping them keep up their skills.

Forty-two officers from 15 agencies around the state will be competing Saturday.

The event is open to the public.
