Study: Mothers not meeting breastfeeding goals

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released its research Monday morning. 85 percent of moms plan to breastfeed exclusively for three months or longer, but one-third of those mothers manage to do it. Those who are married, have a previous baby, or begin nursing right after a baby's born are most successful.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that babies be fed only breast milk for the first six months.
