Police searching for suspects in connection with attempted kidnapping

OAKLAND, Calif.

Police received a report of the attempted kidnapping in the 1400 block of 103rd Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. Monday, police said.

One suspect approached the girl from behind and grabbed her, attempting to take her to an awaiting car nearby, according to police.

The girl managed to escape from the suspect and run home, police said.

The suspects are described as tall, thin-build white males in their mid to late 20s.

The suspect who tried to grab the girl is clean-shaven with shoulder-length blond hair last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black pants and brown shoes. The driver has a goatee with short brown spiked hair, police said.

The suspects' vehicle is described as a 2000 red pickup truck with two doors and an extended cab, according to police.
