Golden Gate Bridge preparing for all electronic tolls beginning Wednesday

Starting Wednesday, the bridge will no longer accept cash and there will be no human toll takers. Drivers will have to sign up for FasTrak, register a credit card account, or expect a bill after they cross. Also starting Wednesday, the toll plaza speed limit increases to 25 miles per hour up from the recommended five miles an hour now in place. The speed limit on the bridge is 45 miles an hour.
