Stores are now required to stop providing the bags. Shoppers are being asked to carry reusable bags with them. If you don't have one, retailers will charge you 10-cents per paper bag. The law applies to grocery and convenience stores, pharmacies and other shops, but not to restaurants. Also, plastic bags for produce, meats and prescription medicine will still be used.
