Walter Wang was given the lifetime achievement award from the Drug Enforcement Administration's Educational Foundation.
The billionaire philanthropist has supported the DEA's anti-drug efforts in many ways, including a program that keeps kids off the streets and away from drugs through dancing.
"Education makes a difference. Education minimizes drug usage and drug addiction," said Wang.
Wang's philanthropy also extends overseas. His Los Angeles-based company, JM Eagle, has provided piping for clean water to villages in Africa and China.
