Police responded to a report of a fight in the 2900 block of Huff Drive at 5:15 p.m.
A man they found there was injured and taken to a hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries and pronounced dead at 6:29 p.m.
Another man at the scene was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County jail on suspicion of murder. Police have not disclosed a motive for the assault.
This is the city's 23rd homicide of the year.
