Yellow jacket problems are on the rise in Lake Tahoe

It seems California's mild winter has created a big pest problem in the Lake Tahoe area.

Officials in El Dorado County say reports of yellow jackets are up.

They're getting about 10 calls per day.

Reports of stings are also on the rise. Environmentalists blame the mild winter which allowed more wasp queens to survive and build nests.

To make matters worse, yellow jackets tend to be more aggressive in September and October.
