About 15 people protested outside Facebook's Menlo Park campus. They want the company to take down pages that promote anti-Semitism and bullying, and classify pages that deny the Holocaust as hate speech.
They also want Facebook to keep these pages from easily appearing on other people's news feeds.
"It's very easy for someone to create a page and pay $10-15 a day in order to sponsor their page and to promote it. And it's running to our news feeds whether we want to see them or we don't want to see them," said Michael Mendelson.
Facebook tells ABC7 News it investigates all reports of hate speech, and says you can get rid of ads you find offensive by hitting the hide button.
