Authorities say a 17-year-old girl was the madam, recruiting her classmates to have sex with a 62-year-old man she met through her job at a restaurant. One of the girls was just 14 years old.
Students at the high school were stunned to learn about the prostitution ring. "To find out that she is one of the people, that is just shocking to me. I wouldn't expect any of the kids here at school to do that," one person said.
Police say the accused madam would drive the girls to the man's home and say she received a percentage of the more than $3,600 paid to the girls.
The teen and the 62-year-old were both free on bail Friday morning.
