Water officials provide drought update in Sacramento

Despite this week's rain and another storm that's on the way, it's still not nearly enough to put a dent in our drought.

Local, state, and federal water officials are providing the latest update on California's statewide drought at a briefing in Sacramento.

Our recent big storms will likely have little impact when it comes to raising water levels in parched reservoirs. And forecasters say there's a slim chance that water levels around the state will return to normal this spring.

Today's meeting is also focusing on ways to conserve water.
