London Zoo welcomes 3 new Sumatran tiger cubs

LONDON

A five-year-old Sumatran tigress has given birth to three cubs after a pregnancy lasting 106 days.The triplets and their mother Melati remain in a special enclosure at the zoo.

The sex of the cubs is not yet known and the entire birth process was monitored using remote camera technology.

The cubs aren't official named yet, but zookeepers have nicknamed one of them "trouble," because it repeatedly wakes up the other two cubs.

Sumatran tigers are an endangered species.
