Thousands of children including a few celebrities took part in the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday.

President Obama and the first lady cheered on the little ones as they rolled their eggs down the south lawn.

The theme of this year's egg roll was "Hop into Healthy, Swing into Shape."

Actor Jim Carrey and Sesame Street's very own Cookie Monster also stopped to say hello.

The first lady told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them.

Mrs. Obama says she tries to indulge as often as she can, so she exercises almost every day.

Her favorite physical activity is tennis, which she tries to do at least once a week. She says her daughter Malia plays tennis too, and that Sasha enjoys basketball and dance.

She urged the young scribes to eat balanced meals, drink water and keep moving.
